Refund Policy
Overview
Amar Events is a ticketing platform connecting event-goers with organizers across Bangladesh. When you purchase a ticket on our platform, you are entering into a transaction with the event organizer. Amar Events facilitates the payment and acts as the intermediary.
Refund eligibility depends on both our platform-level policy and the individual organizer's refund settings. Some events may have stricter or more flexible policies set by the organizer — these will be clearly displayed on the event page before purchase.
Refund Eligibility
Not all purchases are automatically eligible for refunds. Below is a summary of common scenarios:
Event Cancelled
Full refund guaranteed if the organizer cancels the event.
Duplicate Purchase
Accidental double purchases are refundable within 24 hours.
Technical Error
Payment charged but no ticket issued due to a platform error.
Organizer Allows Refunds
Partial or full refund per the organizer's stated policy on the event page.
Change of Plans
Not eligible unless the organizer's policy explicitly allows it.
After Event Date
No refunds are issued after the event has already taken place.
Refund Timeframes
Refund windows vary based on the scenario. Below is the standard timeline:
Once a refund is approved, processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on your bank or mobile financial service provider (bKash, Nagad, etc.).
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Amar Events account at amarevents.zone.id/login.
- Go to My Tickets from your dashboard.
- Find the ticket you wish to refund and click "Request Refund" if the option is available.
- Select your reason and submit the request.
- You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours with the status of your request.
If the refund option is not visible in your dashboard, contact us directly at support@amarevents.zone.id with your transaction ID and reason.
Event Cancellation by Organizer
If an organizer cancels an event after tickets have been sold:
- All ticket holders will be notified via email and in-app notification within 24 hours of the cancellation.
- A full refund will be automatically initiated for all affected tickets — no action required from you.
- Refunds will be returned to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Processing may take 5–10 business days to reflect in your account.
If an event is rescheduled rather than cancelled, your existing ticket remains valid for the new date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within 7 days of the rescheduling announcement.
Organizer Refund Policies
Organizers on Amar Events can configure their own refund terms within the limits of this policy. These may include:

The organizer's chosen policy will be prominently displayed on the event page before you complete your purchase. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to that organizer's refund terms.
Fees & Deductions
When a refund is issued, the following applies:
- Ticket price: Refunded in full (or as per organizer policy).
- Platform service fee: Non-refundable in standard buyer-initiated refund cases. Refunded in full if the event is cancelled by the organizer or due to a platform error.
- Payment gateway fees: Depending on the payment provider, a small processing fee (typically 1–2.5%) may be deducted from the refund amount. This is charged by the gateway, not Amar Events.
- Currency conversion: If currency conversion applied at the time of purchase, the refunded amount reflects the original BDT value, not a converted rate at time of refund.
Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe a charge was made in error or you did not receive the service you paid for, you may raise a dispute through us before initiating a chargeback with your bank.
- Contact support@amarevents.zone.id with your transaction details and a description of the issue.
- We aim to resolve all disputes within 7 business days.
- If we are unable to resolve the dispute, you retain the right to escalate to your payment provider or bank.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
- Tickets for events that have already taken place.
- Donations made through the platform's donation feature.
- Platform subscription plan fees (organizer plans) after the billing cycle has started — unless cancelled within 24 hours of initial purchase.
- Tickets explicitly marked as "Non-Refundable" on the event page at the time of purchase.
- Tickets purchased through a third party (not directly through amarevents.zone.id).
- Cases where a ticket was transferred or resold by the original buyer.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do:
- The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
- Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification.
- Changes do not apply retroactively to purchases made before the update date.
- Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
